About the design:

• This design shows a Coast Salish barred owl flying toward the viewer. The beauty of the owl illuminates the environment it comes into contact with; mostly due to its cunning abilities to navigate the night. Margaret was inspired by a close encounter with an owl, as shown in this piece. Owl medicine comes to protect those going through a difficult time in their life, hence why the title of this piece is called “Awakening”. This image is a helpful reminder that there is light in the darkness.
