"I have done this design in red, burgundy and black to show the traditional Salish colors. I love eagles, and this is why there is eagle as the eyes in the bear design.
I honestly feel that the eagle/bear share the fish among each other in the wildlife. The main reason why I do two different animals in one design, to show these animals (eagle/bear) do not eat the foods among themselves."--Phil Joe
